Budding Chefs in Owls Class

Owls Class started their cooking unit today with peeling and cutting.
Children in Owls Class spent this afternoon exploring where our food comes from, what season food is including why it is more readily available all year round in modern times and safe techniques for cutting and peeling some foods. They've got no excuse not to help preparing the Sunday roast this weekend now they have practised some of the key skills!
In the coming weeks children will be putting these skills to the test as well as tasting ingredients, designing and making a seasonal savoury tart!
