Boys win at Sports Hall Athletics
For a variety of reasons, we were unable to get a Year 5/6 girls team together to compete in the small schools' Sports Hall Athletics event held at Rawlett this week. No such problem with the boys. We made it clear that we wouldn't be able to progress as a school with only half a team, but the boys didn't mind; they wanted to have a go anyway.
The events included races up and down the large sports hall, including an obstacle race with hurdles, speed steppers and speed bounces along the way. There were also jumping and throwing events.
There were 6 schools competing and Manor boys won each race they ran as well as placing well in the field events. They listened to instructions, meaning there were no mistakes, and they supported each other brilliantly, coming out as the boys' team with the most points out of all 6 schools. Well done Year 6 Manor boys!
