The 'Safe and Sound' event hosted by the Fire Service included interactive and informative sessions with emergency first aid by First Responders, being a good citizen by the police, safety around water by the RNLI, financial safety with HSBC and, best of all, an interactive container that the Fire Service sat us in to spot dangers around the house then they showed us how a cooker fire can engulf a room in an inferno within 2 minutes. The children were given the task of discussing escape plans at home so they would know what to do if they were in a room and there was a fire outside the door etc. Do contact the fire service if you need help with something like that.
