To support our English work on balanced arguments, Penguins class went to Chester zoo to find out for themselves the advantages and disadvantages of zoos.  We visited a range of wild animals such as lions, elephants, rhinos, lemurs and orangutans and learnt how the zoo works towards its mission of 'preventing extinction'. In addition to witnessing these beautiful creatures first hand, the children have come away excited for their writing, and I'm sure they will be sharing their views on whether zoos are 'Good or Bad' with you all.
